Facebook is a great way to share with family and friends. Plenty of times, I add a comment or click the “Like” button, but today this one post caught my attention:
If you need a cable, replacement or new, or maybe some other electronics accessory, check out AmazonBasics. This service provides basic, no-frills electronic accessories for computers, i-devices, TV’s, cameras, and more. I know you can find cheaper products on the internet and maybe through Amazon itself, but I have found AmazonBasics products offer good quality. I hate buying a budget cable or accessory just to have it fall apart a week later. An example of some items in the store: HDMI cables, Apple compatible charging cables, Bluetooth keyboards, cell phones accessories, tablet cases, and an external DVD Writer. For those with Amazon Prime accounts, most items are eligible for free shipping. Here is a link to the site:

If you make the switch you can stop Mail from accessing an email account using these steps: Continue reading

One of my favorite apps is Apps Gone Free from AppAdvice.com. This app lists a handful of highly rated apps that are on sale (as in FREE) that day. This list updates daily and contains screenshots and review information.
Why is this one of my favorites? This is a great way to find and try out some good apps. It is also a great way to get apps for the kids. BTW, the app itself is free.
A little known or used feature of your iPhone and/or iPad is a row of icons underneath the dock. This row, which commonly called the “Multitask” bar, serves several purposes. This is the place to go if you want to switch between recent apps quickly, close a misbehaving app, control your music, lock the screen orientation, or set the volume and Airplay device. This How-to demonstrates the Multitask bar on an iPhone for apps and access to these other controls. Continue reading
